Geography studies the earth and its inhabitants. There are two main branches of study in geography.
The first is physical geography, which concerns the land itself, the features of places and regions, and spatial analysis of natural phenomena.
The second is human geography, which concerns the relationship between people and land, the patterns and processes that shape human history, and some of the historical, political, cultural, social and economic aspects of the human inhabitance of Earth.
Modern geography is an interdisciplinary study that seeks to understand the Earth and all of its human and natural complexities.
