During the Open House, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the wide range of services available to you, meet staff, ask questions, and connect with resources designed to support your academic success, career development, and overall transition into college life.
FYCS provides guidance on career exploration, resume and job search support, academic and transition resources for first-year students, and tools to help you plan for your future. This Open House is a great chance to get familiar with what’s available, whether you’re still figuring things out or ready to take the next step.

Resume/Cover Letter Workshop

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to build or refine a strong resume, craft an effective cover letter, and tailor your materials for jobs, internships, or transfer opportunities. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to polish what you already have, FYCS staff will share practical tips, examples, and guidance to help your application materials stand out.
Bring your questions and, if you have them, your current resume or draft cover letter. This session is open to students at all stages of their academic and career journey.
