Meet David:
David (pronounced dah-veed) (he/him/his; they/them/their(s)) has spent most of his life here on the lands of the Duwamish/Coast Salish people (more commonly known as Seattle) and since 2012, has been an alum of Seattle Central College. After graduating from Seattle Central College, he joined AmeriCorps as a Reading and literacy tutor for Washington Reading Corps and soon after, he taught abroad in China before attending the University of Washington #gohuskies. In 2018, he graduated with Bachelor of Arts with Departmental Honors in Communication and a double minor in Diversity and Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies. Upon graduating, he wrote a Diversity and Inclusion recommendation report for the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Missouri where he completed his fellowship.
David was the Program Assistant for the Science and Math Learning Center in 2019, before transitioning to work for Student Leadership in 2022. David is enthusiastic to help, mentor, and advise students to achieve academic goals while in school and beyond.
When not working, he enjoys drinking and learning about tea, reading, listening to a variety of podcasts, and visiting museums.
