Watch the recording of Believe 2.0
Every year, Seattle Central rallies our community of advocates and partners together to celebrate the power of education in our city. Thanks the generosity of our community, our first ever virtual gala held via Zoom on June 6, 2020 raised more than $395,410 to support students and keep transformational education within reach for all who seek it.
The Believe Gala raises funds for the college’s Central Commitment program, which supports students with financial need from start to finish.
We had hoped to gather in person for our gala in early June, but instead we held our first ever virtual gala on June 6, 2020. We rallied our community during a week-long campaign that culminated in a virtual version of our annual Believe Gala.
At the event, we heard from college president Dr. Sheila Edwards lange about the the role of college in building a more equitable future of all. We also heard from alumna Maria Saavedra who graduated from our Respiratory Care program last year and is now on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.
Thanks to our incredible community, we blew past our goal!
