School-to-Work
Mainstay collaborates with the King County School to Work Program to help students with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities transition from high school to employment. Our goal is to ensure students secure paid employment before students exit the school system. S2W and Mainstay offer resources and guidance to families to support a smooth transition into adult services and the workforce. S2W reaches out during the student's junior year to begin the process of preparing for work, which can sometimes take longer than you think.
Please note, the School to Work Program offers services to students up to age 22.
