Ensure Learning

Ensure Learning is Seattle Central College’s approach to ensuring that students are gaining the skills we’ve promised them through our course, program, and college-wide learning outcomes. Ensure Learning is a process that guides faculty to regularly reflect on student learning and implement changes to improve student success. This process replaces the instructional assessment reviews that previously occurred for each program on a four-year cycle. The following diagram provides an overview of the Ensure Learning Cycle:

Flow chart shows the steps of the Ensure Learning Process: Plan to ensure learning, analyze student work, reflect & report results, consider whether learning could be improved, and plan and implement a change or consider choosing a different learning outcome for the next Ensure Learning cycle.

Faculty can access Ensure Learning reporting forms and assessment resources at the Ensure Learning website (seattlecolleges login required)

Ensure Learning Results are available in the Ensure Learning Dashboard.
