We are so excited that you have chosen Seattle Central College and want to invite you to join us to get the SCOOP (Seattle Central Onboarding and Orientation Program). SCOOP offers the support you need to be ready to start your first quarter as a Tiger through Pre-Orientation and New Student Orientation programming.

Pre-Orientation Programming is back for Spring 2024! Our next in-person New Student Orientation Fall 2024! 

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

At New Student Orientation, you'll have the opportunity to join us at the Seattle Central Broadway campus to kick off the academic year with food, fun, and friends!

What You’ll Do:

• Hear from campus community at New Student Welcome
• Meet peers during Area of Study Sessions
• Connect with support during Resource Fair + Campus Tours
• Enjoy swag, lunch, and activities with your fellow Tigers!

Program Specific Orientation

Running Start, Seattle Promise, International Programs, and Basic and Transitional Studies (ABE, ESL, and GED^®) have separate orientations. If you are enrolled in these programs, you are welcome but not required to participate in New Student Orientation. 

If you have taken classes at North Seattle College or South Seattle College or have already earned an associate or bachelor's degree, you are eligible to bypass the New Student Orientation. 

HOW TO PREPARE

Students are highly encouraged to register for classes prior to attending Orientation. You may find you have questions, are feeling stuck, or just want some extra support. Pre-Orientation Events provide help with setting up your accounts, understanding your placement options, and learning how to connect with advisors, faculty, and staff.

Pro Tip: Pre-Orientation events are drop-in, so no RSVP needed.
