Teaching and Learning Commons

Seattle Central's Teaching and Learning Commons (TLC) provides technical and instructional support to faculty and staff.  The TLC provides access to current and emerging technologies and the innovative hands-on technology training, skills, and pedagogical support needed for use of these technologies. We encourage you to explore options, the use of multiple delivery methods, and to share your ideas and successes with others.

The TLC offers staff and faculty assistance with applications such as O365, Canvas, Adobe Acrobat, Google, Panopto, Citrix, scanning, Zoom, ctcLink class rosters, and more. Explore multiple or alternative delivery methods.

Laptops and other instructional equipment such as webcams, digital photo and video cameras, voice recorders, and others can also be checked out.

Conference Room (2101Q) that can be reserved through 25Live! A Meeting Owl and computer are available to use, including a large screen monitor for use in meetings. 

TLC staff offer support and consultation through drop-ins and by appointment.

Get assistance with Zoom, Panopto, video issues, images, recording and production, and equipment.

  • PCs and one Mac
  • Monochrome and color laser printer (requires your ctcLink ID)
  • Scanners for text and images
  • One PC is networked to the student server for Faculty use.
  • Meeting Owl available for use in the TLC Conference Room
  • Available for loan (limited supply): laptops, webcams, video, digital, and document cameras, digital voice recorders, drawing tablets, ring lights, microphones

Hours

The Teaching and Learning Commons is accessible any time Broadway Edison is open. Use your ID card to access the TLC through the library during open hours or through the hallway outside of Elevator 7/ Stairwell J if the library is closed.
