Transportation Options

Seattle Central's location in the Capitol Hill neighborhood is easy to reach from most parts of the city. Just minutes from downtown, the campus is easily accessible by public transit, car, walking or biking.

Bus

Several King County Metro Transit bus routes serve the college. For assistance charting your route to Seattle Central, use Metro's Trip Planner.

Light Rail

The LINK light rail Capitol Hill station is located adjacent to campus and provides a direct link to the University of Washington to the north, and downtown, Beacon Hill and the Rainier Valley to the south.

Washington State Ferries

If you're coming from Bremerton, Vashon Island or Bainbridge Island, the Seattle and Fauntleroy ferry terminals offer convenient transit connections to Seattle Central.

Car

Seattle Central is just a few blocks from Interstate 5. Carpooling is encouraged as parking spaces are at a premium.

  • Multiple private parking lots nearby offer hourly and daily rates
  • Metered street parking is available on Broadway and most side streets
  • The college's garage at 1609 Harvard Ave. has limited public parking, depending on time of day.

Walk, Bike

Our campus is a 15–minute walk from downtown Seattle. Capitol Hill is bike friendly, with a new dedicated bike lane on Broadway (the neighborhood's main thoroughfare) and plenty of bicycle parking on campus.

Satellite Locations

Seattle Central College also operates locations in the Central District, Beacon Hill and Ballard. All are accessible by bus and car, and bicycling is also an option.

Parking

Limited parking is available on campus in private lots nearby and metered street parking. The light rail, bus and streetcar all have stops next to campus.
