About Running Start

Broadway Edison Building Closure/Alternate Location for Running Start:
*From August 17th - September 16th, Running Start will NOT operate out of the Broadway Edison building. The Broadway Edison building will be closed during this time. Instead, we will be operating out of the old Bookstore across the street.

Meet with Running Start in-person & on Zoom:
During the Broadway Edison Building Closure, you can meet with Running Start in-person at the old bookstore or on Zoom. Except for the days listed below,* our availability is as follows:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-person: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday on Zoom: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday on Zoom: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Friday on Zoom: 3 p.m. – 4:30 pm.

Campus Connect Orientation Days (i.e., New Student Orientation):
*During the following days, Running Start will NOT operate out of the Bookstore because we will be fully involved with the Campus Connect Orientation at the SAM (Science & Math) building:

The Running Start program allows students in their junior or senior year of high school to attend community college tuition-free within the state of Washington while completing their high school curriculum. College courses completed as part of Running Start provide credit both for the student’s high school graduation requirements as well as their future college course requirements, giving them a head start on their college education.
