The Women's Programs and WorkFirst Services Department at Seattle Central Community College is here to serve all who desire to continue their education.


For Our Neighbors in the Community, we offer comprehensive information on resources available at SCCC and throughout the general community to assist current or potential students in their educational endeavors. Our staff members are here to offer encouragement and personalized guidance in accessing campus resources such as: financial aid, childcare, testing, registration, and career planning.Please visit our office during normal business hours for more information, or visit the SCCC website at: http://seattlecentral.org/

For WorkFirst Participants

WorkFirst Services can provide tuition assistance to eligible parents pursuing a professional or technical career.

For more information, you may call our office at (206) 587-3854, stop by our office to see a WorkFirst Program Coordinator located in the Fine Arts Building on the SE corner of Harvard and Pine in Room 202.

 

For All Seattle Central Students

The Women’s Programs & WorkFirst Services office also offers scholarship information, community resource information and volunteer/internship opportunities. We have a varying collection of books, magazines and articles about Women's Studies, Health Care, Job Search, Reproductive Rights and Political Issues.

Each Thursday from 9:00AM - 12:00PM, an outreach worker from Seattle & King County Public Health will be available at the Women’s Programs & WorkFirst Services office to help students apply for free or low-cost health insurance for themselves and their children. She may also give information on how to apply for financial assistance with electric and water bills.

Also, each Thursday from 1:30 - 4:00PM, personnel from Pacific Associates is available at the Women's Programs & WorkFirst Services office to assist students with:

  • Job Search
  • Resume Critiquing
  • Transportation Support
  • Tuition Assistanc

This service is for any person obtaining their GED and/or Program Level Classes. For more information, please contact our office via the information listed below.
