What is e-Reserve?
E-Reserves (electronic reserves) are electronic copies of course reserve materials that you can access with a computer connected to the Interent. You can access the assigned items via the library’s online catalog anytime, anywhere in the world.

What are the advantages of e-Reserve?
E-Reserve allows online access by multiple users, on or off campus. Materials are always available, never checked-out, and never in poor condition. You can view, download or print materials any time, anywhere. No overdue items or fines to worry about.

How do I access e-reserve materials?
You may view e-reserve documents via the library's online catalog from any workstation in the library, or from a computer connected to the Internet anywhere in the world. Images are available in PDF format. Free Adobe Acrobat Reader software (www.adobe.com) must be installed on the PC for viewing and printing documents. Your instructor will give you a password for login to view the e-reserve documents.

What are the step-by-step instructions for viewing and printing e-Reserve materials via the library’ online catalog?

1. Log on to http://dept.sccd.ctc.edu/libraries
2. Open the Quick Search menu, and click on “Library Catalog”
3. Click on the “Course Reserves Search” tab
4. Search by Instructor’s name OR Course Title:

Search by Instructor
a) Type the first letter of the instructor's last name in the Instructor search box
b) Click on the down arrow for a drop-down menu
c) Select the instructor’s last name
d) Click on the Search button

Search by Course
a) Type the first letter of the course name in the Course search box
b) Click on the down arrow for a drop-down menu
c) Select the course title
d) Click on the Search button
