ABOUT US

The Department of Mathematics offers courses in the first two years of an undergraduate mathematics curriculum. We also offer several pre-college courses that prepare students for college-level mathematics courses.

The Department's greatest strength is it's excellent
faculty. Using a variety of teaching methods, students are provided with some of the finest mathematics instruction available.

The
curriculum offered is strong and is implemented using both technology and current methods courtesy of the mathematics reform movement. Many of our classrooms are set up specifically to allow collaborative learning to take place on a daily basis.

The Department has access to four fully functional computer classrooms where many of our courses are taught, including calculus, linear algebra, statistics, differential equations, geometry, and the business math sequence. Most classes are taught in the new, state-of-the-art
SAM Building on Campus.

Students have access to numerous
resources to help them complete their coursework, including a Math Tutor Lab, College-Wide Tutoring, and a Math Club.

We welcome you to the department and to the college and hope your visit with us is an enjoyable one.
