College Transfer Program (Associate's Degree)International Students planning to earn a bachelor's degree begin their college studies at Seattle Central. Many college transfer majors are available, including Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Music and other programs in the Arts & Sciences. In the College Transfer program, students earn an Associate of Arts degree or an Associate of Science degree. As is the case with all community colleges in the U.S., Seattle Central does not offer any bachelor's, graduate, or post-graduate degree programs. An associate's degree takes two years, or 90 credits, and is transferable
to a four-year university. After students complete their associate's degree,
they can transfer to a four-year college or university and complete a
bachelor's degree by taking two more years of study in their major
Degree OptionsAssociate of Arts (A.A.) Degree - Seattle Central students who are interested in majoring in Music, Art, Languages, Sociology, Psychology, Business, History or other fields in the social sciences or humanities usually take this degree. The A.S. degree concentrates more on the major area of study than the A.A. degree. Seattle Central offers classes to fulfill the general undergraduate requirements
in 45 areas. Following are just a few ideas of the many educational paths
you can choose from once you transfer to a university. Students should work closely with an advisor in the College Transfer Center to make sure that all possible degree requirements are met prior to transfer.
