Indonesia.

I take classes to pursue my Associate of Arts degree and have one more quarter left before I graduate.
4. What are your plans and goals for the future?
I want to be an entrepreneur that can elevate society and human resources, especially in my community. I lived in a third world country, where many of my brothers and sisters are not as lucky as me, so I think it is a blessing in disguise that I have the responsibility of obtaining the opportunity to study as I do!
5. Do you think Seattle Central is helping you achieve your goals? Why or why not?
Yes, it is helping me achieve my goals. Through Seattle Central, I have the opportunity to know people from different cultures and norms. This experience had changed my global point of view about the world. The diversity at Seattle Central helped me see the differences between people. By understanding these differences, we can make a huge positive impact on the world!
6. How would you describe Seattle?
Seattle is a point of transit in my life which provides me experiences, knowledge, new friends and, last but not least, wonderful scenery!
7. How would you describe Seattle Central Community College?
Seattle Central Community College is not only just a building for me. It's more like a monumental event and time in my life that always reminds me about the strength of diversity and teamwork. I saw it myself through the classes that I took at SCCC. One important thing I learned was that to be a good leader, you have to recognize and know your team members well. After that, you can put yourself in a way to benefit your surroundings!
8. What are the biggest differences between life in your country and life in Seattle?
There is a lot of freedom in Seattle and I learned how to use it wisely.
My home country is a collectivist country, which has a strong social control.
9. Is there anything else you’d like to say to prospective students in your country who might be reading this?
You will never know that sugar is sweet unless you make the effort to taste it! I went to Seattle Central Community College to learn and what I have experienced is above my expectations. Seattle Central Community College not only teaches me WHAT to think but also HOW to think.
