Meet our Students
Back to introduction
1. What is your full name?
Solomon Kasozi.
2. What country do you come from?
Uganda (the pearl of Africa). It is a very beautiful country with very nice weather.
3. Describe your program of study.
I began full-time studies in Fall 2005 for my A.A degree
for a Finance / Business Administration major.
4. What are your plans and goals for the future?
I plan to transfer to a four year school to study Business Administration
and Finance after getting my
A.A degree. I plan to get internships in companies like Microsoft or Boeing or get work experience in
my related field of study. This would give me experience and prepare me for the future.
5. Do you think Seattle Central is helping you achieve your goals? Why or why not?
Seattle Central had helped me achieve my goals by enabling me to take general classes before choosing
a major. The instructors and academic advisers are very helpful in career guidance. The class sizes are
relatively small, thereby encouraging a healthy learning environment. Students are able to interact with
the instructors because of the smaller class size.
6. How would you describe Seattle?
Seattle is a very beautiful city with many trees, so many places to hang out downtown.
Coffee shops are allover the place, cinemas, restaurants, and the space needle. It rains a lot,
besides that, the people are very friendly.
7. How would you describe Seattle Central Community College?
Seattle Central Community College is diverse, with people from all over the world.
It has been a great learning experience for me because I have interacted with different people with
different cultures. I have been able to appreciate other people's values and we have been able to learn from each other.
8. What are the biggest differences between life in your country and life in Seattle?
Life in Seattle is much easier, everything seems straightforward.
The weather, however,
has been the hardest for me to adapt to.
Apart from the weather, everything else is very nice.
9. Is there anything else you'd like to say to prospective students in your country who might be reading this?
I would like to encourage prospective students to make a choice and come over to
Seattle Central Community College in order to reap the benefits of cultural diversity. Learning from one
another is a key to success, and being able to appreciate other people's values would make the world
a better place.
