The biggest difference is the opportunity to develop my skills, talents and knowledge by involving myself in many activities around the campus or neighborhood such as tutoring, volunteering, getting involved in other workshops.
7. What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishments? Why?
Finishing school and being able to help others who need me help. Why? Because helping others gives me a sense (awareness) that there are people out there that are unlucky or are having problems and it's my duty to help them out. And I want people know that I still care about others.
8. What do you consider to be an interesting fact about you?
Honestly, I don't think that there is something that interesting about me. I am just a regular person. However, there is one thing that I feel good about. I learned so much about life since I came to the U.S.. The American tradition, culture and values taught me or showed me that we have to be more independent and responsible about ourselves, which I tried so hard to do, and I am a little bit proud of myself that living in the U.S. has shaped me to be more mature and independent.
9. What are your hobbies?
Basically, I like reading, watching movies and listening to music. Besides that I like to do something useful for other people, like volunteering or tutoring. And ever since I began working in the College Activities Board, I love to design some graphics, brochures, pamphlets or posters. These activities are a lot of fun and I really enjoy them.
10. What were you doing prior to coming to Seattle to study at Seattle Central?
After graduating from high school, I was studying in university in Indonesia. My major was computer science, but I discontinued a year later because I thought that I was not really good at it. Then I came to here to continue my study in Accounting. I am glad that I choose SCCC as my destination for continuing my studies, because I learned a lot about so many things and I have so many friends here who also share with me their differences and diversity.
