Mount Rainier

University of Washington
The University of Washington, one of the largest universities in the U.S.A., also has one of the most beautiful campuses. Seattle Community Colleges transfer more international students to the University of Washington than any other community colleges.

Seattle Center
The Seattle Center was built for the World's Fair in 1962. It contains the Space Needle, an Amusement Park, the Pacific Science Center, the Pacific Northwest Ballet, several theaters and the monorail, which make it a popular destination both for tourists and for "Seattleites".

Vancouver, British Columbia
Vancouver is a world class city for world class fun! See Chinatown, Gastown, Robson Street, Stanley Park, Capilano and so much more in Vancouver, Canada. Seattle Central Community College international students visit either Vancouver or Victoria, Canada every quarter for a weekend. They are only a couple of hours away!

Victoria, British Columbia
Travel to Canada and visit Victoria. See famous sites such as the Empress Hotel, the Parliament Building, the Royal British Columbia Museum and Butchart Gardens.

Portland
Visit the state of Oregon and the beautiful city of Portland, only 3 1/2 hours away from Seattle.

Sports Events
Seattle Mariners (baseball), Seattle Supersonics (basketball), and other professional sports events are popular activities we enjoy throughout the year.

Seattle Opera
Seattle is known for having one of the most innovative opera companies in the world.

Seattle Symphony
Under Maestro Gerard Schwartz, the Seattle Symphony is famous for performances of American composers.

Washington State Ferries
Take a ferry over to Bainbridge Island and see the Seattle skyline from the water.

Dungeness Spit
Usually combined with a trip to Port Townsend or Hurricane Ridge, Dungeness Spit is a great place to view sea life along the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Hurricane Ridge
On Hurricane Ridge you have a majestic view of the surrounding Olympic Mountains and an up close view of wildlife. This trip can be combined with Port Townsend or Dungeness Spit.

Boeing Everett Plant
The largest building in the world is just north of Seattle at the Boeing plant at Everett. See the 747 airplanes as they are made.

Horseback Riding
Have the great Western experience while horseback riding in the foothills of the beautiful Cascade mountains.

Snoqualmie Falls & North Bend
Snoqualmie Falls are taller than Niagara Falls by 70 feet! Combine this with a trip to North Bend and have a great excursion to "Twin Peaks Country."

Snoqualmie Pass
Just an hour away from Seattle, this is a popular winter ski, snowboarding and "snowtubing" destination

Mt. St Helens
Visiting Mount St. Helens, just three hours away from Seattle, is an awesome experience. St. Helens, a sister-volcano to Mt. Rainier, is famous for its tremendous eruption on May 18, 1980.
