Fall 2009 Workshops

American Internship Experience

An Internship is like volunteering, but is directly related to your major. It is a way to gain practical work experience in your field of study. For example: If you are a Nursing Major and you intern at a clinic or hospital, you are able to learn what Nurses and Doctors do on a daily basis. The same is true for a Communication Major that Interns at a Newspaper or TV station. An Internship is a valuable asset to any resume, especially for new Graduates looking for employment. Even an unpaid Internship provides that valuable work experience most employers are looking for. The American Internship Experience is a way to encompass all the materials and skills you will need to find employment after you graduate.
Please visit AIE page for more information.

In the AIE you will:
• Develop an understanding of interests and skills.
• Learn how to search for jobs/Internships and create a great resume.
• Benefit from cultural insights that will make you a valuable candidate for the global marketplace.
• Earn a Certificate as well as College Credit.
• All College Students and College Bridge Level Students are eligible to join.
