An emphasis can enhance your resume and personal experience as well as contribute to your personal statement. Read this major planning guide to learn more about the Global Health emphasis.
The Health and Wellness course at Seattle Central can be your first step on the path to a professional career in medical health. This course offers you practical information on health, wellness and prevention to broaden perspectives and knowledge on healthier lifestyle choices. Following the initial Health and Wellness course, it’s recommended that you choose a transfer degree based on your planned major that will lead to the career you want to pursue.
If you are planning to pursue a professional medical career such as doctor, dentist, veterinarian, pharmacist, optometrist, or physical therapist, you will be required to take biology, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, genetics, calculus, statistics, social sciences and/or humanities courses.
