Opportunity Grant
The goal of the Opportunity Grant is to help low-income adults reach the educational tipping point in high wage, high demand careers.
Eligible students pursing an approved program may receive funds to cover tuition and mandatory fees up to 45 credits and up to $1,000 for books and supplies per academic year.
Eligibility:
- Washington State Resident
- Family income at or below 200% federal poverty level
- Demonstrate financial need (Must apply for Financial Aid @ WWW.FAFSA.ed.gov School code: 003787)
- Enroll in Opportunity Grant approved professional/Technical programs and not already posses a degree.

- Development Classes to bridge from LPN to RN
- Sterilization/Central Supply
- Developmental Classes to bridge from Sterization to Surgical Technician

- Developmental Classes to bridge from Surgical Technician to AAS -T Nursing
- IBEST-Child Development Associate
- Asst. Teacher (Infant/Toddler Care)
- School age afternoon care Lead Teacher
- Supervisor/Director of childcare
- Social Health and Human Services AAA -T (Child & Family Studies)
- IBEST Sofware Applications
- Related instruction to bridge from South AAS/AAS-T Accounting to AA/AAS-T Busness Administration
- Medical Office (Womens Program)
- Business Information Technology
Opportunity Grant Application Procedure Complete the following:
- Apply for Finacial Aid on-line.
- Download and sign Opportunity Grant Eligibility Requirements/Policies & Procedures.
- Download and complete Application.
- Take completed Eligibility sheet and application to Opportunity Grant Coordinator (Joel Camacho) Rm. BE4178.
