Assignment 1: Browsing the Library

Due: October 7, 2003

Even if you have used the library before, use this time to explore its many resources.

Using the map provided in class, browse the library as if you have never been here before. Identify each numbered item on the map and describe its purpose. If you are not sure of the purpose, write a question or two about the item.

Get curious about the resources we have here. We will discuss in class what you found.

Sample: 1. Reference Desk. Librarians who work at this desk answer all kinds of questions for students doing research. This is a good place to get started doing research in any library.
