GEL 105, Introductory Field Geology, will have a standard textbook for the class.  However, the standard textbook won't have information about the field areas that we will be working in, either western Washington, the North Cascades, or Hawai'i.  So this page gives you short bibliographies about the different field settings.  This bibliography contains both introductory literature that you can read without too much difficulty, and also some references to the hardcore, incomprehensible technical literature.

There will be "outside of the textbook" reading required in GEL 105 A, B, and C; those readings will be on reserve in the library in notebooks you can check out for 2 hours or photocopy.
