Welcome to American Sign Language 102 at Seattle Central Community College!

American Sign Language (ASL) is the remarkable, complex and naturally existing language used by Deaf people in North America.  ASL 102 is the second quarter of ASL instruction at SCCC.

Emphasis is placed on expanding (1) grammatical understanding of ASL, (2) functional application of ASL, (3) vocabulary and (4) understanding and appreciation of the Deaf culture and Deaf community.

Equal emphasis is placed upon receptive and expressive skills.
