College Success Program

The College Success Program seeks to diminish barriers to higher education that confront former foster youth. Many of these young people enter adulthood facing serious challenges in housing, health care, and education due to the abrupt end of much needed social, emotional, and financial support. These hardships, coupled with the usual effort required to pursue a college education, force many former foster youth to abandon their educational and career goals. They frequently endure homelessness, chronic underemployment, unemployment, and have limited access to community resources. The College Success Program offers former foster youth financial assistance and an array of support services enabling them to achieve academic success.

What can a college education do for me?

Each year of college completed increases your earning potential and opens up new career opportunities. Graduates with a two or four year degree earn considerably more than graduates with a high school diploma or GED.

How can the College Success Program help me?

We offer support services in financial planning, financial aid (F.A.F.S.A.) applications, scholarship applications, housing, academic planning, academic support, and health care. We also offer assistance coordinating outside resources and academic work.
