what is CDAC
 

CDAC stands for Classified Development Advisory Committee. The core purpose is to provide professional development opportunities for classified staff here at Seattle Central. This includes:

  • Program planning, set-up, and evaluation of professional development and computer courses
  • Awarding minigrants and group grants
  • Needs assessments
  • Professional development activities, i.e. the Classified Staff Retreat


CDAC Mission Statement               


The Classified Development Advisory Committee is committed to improving individual and organizational effectveness by providing high quality training and educational development opportunities for employees in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.


Guidelines               

CDAC has three main goals when implementing and executing various professional development activities:

  1. To identify, assess, implement, and evaluate planned learning experiences to develop key competencies (knowledge, skill, or attitude) which will enable classified staff to develop new or improved knowledge and skills in the performance of present or future positions.
  2. To assist in the development of healthy inter- and intra-college and district relationships and interactions.
  3. To define or determine cost-effective solutions to those problems solvable through training and development activities.


Current Members            

This committee consists of around eight members elected by classified staff and committee members. Each member serves a two-year term.
