The Seattle Central Staff, Faculty, and Students have chosen a new logo!
Two versions are provided: a horizontal and vertical layout. Three file formats—TIFF, JPEG and EPS—are available from the Public Information Office (PIO) for each version.
General Usage
- To assure quality of reproduction, only use artwork provided by the PIO.
- The logo is to be used by the Seattle Central community only. Use by external groups or agencies needs to be approved by the PIO.
- The logotype is a graphic element, not a typeface, and should never be recreated on the keyboard.
- These elements should not be redrawn, resized, rotated, animated, shadowed, screened or altered in any way without approval from the PIO.
- The logo and logotype should always stand apart from surrounding text or graphics.
- Always position the logo & logotype horizontally (i.e. do not rotate).
- The logo and logotype should not be used smaller than 1/2” height.
- For high-quality print, do not enlarge the TIFF files. If you need to make the logo larger than the provided size, the EPS files must be used. When reducing or enlarging, make sure to hold the SHIFT key so as not to distort the logo.
- If screened, both elements—logo and type—must be screened at the same percentage. The image must maintain good visibility from the background and all type should be legible.
- The logo should be reversed on a dark background only.
Web
Position the logo away from the corner of your web page so that it does not butt against the browser.
Incorrect Usage
- Do not distort, change proportions, redraw or alter the configuration in any way.
- Do not place over heavily textured backgrounds, reverse out of busy photographs or superimpose over areas of text.
- Do not reprint from faxes, photocopies or previously printed materials.
File Formats
EPS: For use by designers and printers with graphics software such as Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress, Illustrator, and Photoshop. If the logo will be placed in professionally designed files for offset or digital printing or manufacturing, select the EPS format.
TIFF: Use this format for in-house print projects such as flyers. Never enlarge, but it can be reduced to increase quality and resolution.
JPEG: For in-house printing and use in programs such as Word, PowerPoint, or Publisher. Note that JPEG files quality degrades with each save. Please return to Brand Central to download a new file for each use.

Download the Seattle Community College DISTRICT Logo
The logo represents the diverse college and campus locations of the Seattle Community Colleges, identified by the unique Seattle skyline.
When it is properly used, the logo expresses an image of professionalism and when it is widely used, it provides greater name recognition of the Seattle Community Colleges.
