While browsing through this database, it is crucial to understand that the assessment activities documented in this database are created by and created for the expressive use of each program's faculty, staff and administrators to use as they see fit.

The database as a toolkit: the left column includes links to internal and external resources and tools related to the assessment of learning outcomes.

The database as a planning calender: The "assessment planning schedules" help faculty and staff plan out their assessment calendars to ensure that each of their major program goals are assessed at least once every five years.

The database as an almanac: For each assessment activity listed on the planning schedule, a status report is created and published as an "assessment report". The reports summarize the assessment activities completed, in progress, or planned for the future.

The database as an accountability monitor: the database, in its entirety, allows the college to monitor the successful achievement of its Learning Outcomes and its Mission and Goals.
